Kayla is a litigation associate who counsels clients in complex disputes and advises on cybersecurity and privacy matters.
Kayla represents organizations in complex commercial litigation, privacy litigation, and white collar defense matters across industries such as technology, health care, and real estate. She handles cases in federal and state courts as well as in administrative proceedings.
Kayla advises clients on cybersecurity and data incident matters, including responding to data breaches, ransomware events, and other security incidents. Her practice includes coordinating forensic investigations, managing regulatory and law enforcement inquiries, and defending litigation arising from alleged cybersecurity failures or data misuse.
Prior to joining Mintz, Kayla was a litigation associate at a national law firm, where she handled matters involving a broad range of disputes, including the California Information Privacy Act, state and federal wiretapping laws, and other data privacy laws.
While earning her JD, Kayla volunteered with Boston College Law School’s Defenders Clinic and its Lifer Parole & Medical Release Clinic. She also completed an externship with Greater Bostoner Legal Services, serving in the Domestic Violence Work Group. Prior to law school, Kayla worked as a claims interviewer for the Connecticut Department of Labor.
During her undergraduate studies, Kayla interned with the Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights and the Connecticut Attorney General’s Office.
