Seth focuses his practice on patent disputes and strategy across a range of technology areas, with particular emphasis on life sciences. 

Seth has extensive experience representing brand-side pharmaceutical clients in Hatch-Waxman / ANDA litigation, and has also represented accused infringers in multiple billion-dollar competitor cases involving biologics. In addition to his patent litigation practice, Seth routinely advises life sciences clients in prelitigation matters regarding patent licensing, royalty disputes, freedom to operate, biosimilar competition, and patent portfolio strategy.

Before entering private practice, Seth clerked for Judge Mary Beck Briscoe of the US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Seth received his JD in 2014 from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was an articles editor for the Michigan Law Review and a member of the executive board for the Henry M. Campbell Moot Court Competition. Before law school, he earned a BA in biochemistry and a BM in trumpet performance from Indiana University, where he was a Herman B Wells Scholar, and an MEd from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Before joining Mintz, Seth practiced at a leading litigation firm in Washington, DC, where he represented life sciences clients in a wide range of patent litigation matters. 

He is based in the Washington, DC office.
