Jennifer’s practice involves sophisticated commercial real estate transactions with an emphasis on commercial leasing and ground leasing transactions.  Jennifer also has experience in the acquisition and disposition of individual properties and portfolios, as well as financing and land use in connection with commercial, industrial, retail and mixed-use projects.

Representative Transactions

  • Representation of a national pharmacy chain in real property ground leases, negotiation of shopping center declarations, development agreements, easements with third party global 500 companies and project management in coordination with local developers, civil engineers, environmental engineers and title agents for store development of over 100 stores in over 20 states.
  • Representation of Massachusetts based private real estate investment firms in leasing, acquisitions and dispositions of office and industrial parks around the country.
  • Representation of multiple labs and high-tech companies in the negotiation of long-term leases of company headquarters.
  • Representation of retailers in the negotiation of leases in shopping centers.
  • Representation of multiple end users, tenants and property owners in the negotiation of leases involving co-working spaces.
  • Representation of a multi-national consumer electronics company in negotiation of a 260,000 s.f. warehouse lease on over 40 acres.

Jennifer is also a LEED-accredited professional with the knowledge to provide developers with guidance and oversight on certification under the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program, for projects seeking certification under LEED for new construction and major renovation.

Prior to joining Mintz Levin, Jennifer was an associate within the Land Use, Environmental and Natural Resources Practice Group at Allen, Matkins, Leck, Gamble, Mallory and Natsis LLP, a Los Angeles, California-based law firm where she represented developers and investors in their development of a wide array of properties, including office projects, development parcels, hotels, multi-property portfolios, and residential and industrial properties.   She also managed the land use entitlement processes, including representing developers before local administrative bodies, overseeing technical consultants, and negotiating with government agencies and officials.

During law school, Jennifer served as a legal associate at the Conservation Law Foundation in Boston, Massachusetts and as an intern in the Environmental Protection Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office.
