Jon focuses his practice on U.S. and non-U.S. corporate transactions, including private acquisitions, debt and equity financings, as well as general corporate matters, such as corporate reorganizations, corporate governance, and general commercial matters. He has experience negotiating and preparing agreements and other transaction-related documents and performing due diligence. Jon advises private equity firms and other financial services companies as well as clients in technology, health care, manufacturing, retail, and a variety of other industries.
Prior to joining Mintz, Jon was a corporate associate in the Dallas, Texas and Washington, DC offices of an international law firm, where he assisted with all aspects of a myriad of transactions.
While attending law school, Jon served as a legal intern with the SEC’s Division of Corporation through the SEC Student Honors Program, in a role that involved reviewing filings for the Office of Financial Services.
In law school, Jon served as an articles editor for the International Law Review Association of SMU.
Before law school, Jon worked as a retirement specialist at a Texas-based financial services firm.

As U.S. states continue to pass data privacy legislation, Maryland has gone above and beyond in signing both the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act of 2024 (MODPA) and the Maryland Age Appropriate Design Code (HB 603/SB 5712023) into law on May 9, 2024. The Kids Code will go into effect in October and the MODPA will go into effect one year thereafter.
