Lauren focuses her practice on a broad range of corporate matters, including commercial real estate transactions, taxation issues, and general corporate law. She counsels companies in a variety of industries, including technology and real estate, as well as start-ups and emerging companies.
Prior to and during law school, Lauren was a founding partner and a commercial real estate investment advisor for a San Diego-based real estate investment firm. In those roles, she negotiated investment sale contracts, worked on term sheets, and performed due diligence for real estate investments and projects. She has also worked as a capital markets real estate financial analyst for a Canada-based professional services and investment management company.
In law school, Lauren earned her JD with a concentration in Business and Corporate Law. She served as an intern in the University of San Diego School of Law’s Entrepreneurship Clinic, where she advised technology start-ups and emerging growth companies on entity formation and business issues. She was also an M&A SALT tax intern with a global accounting firm, a role that involved researching state and local tax issues affecting target companies. In addition, while working as an in-house legal intern with a San Diego-based real estate investment firm, Lauren assisted with purchase and sale and other agreements for real estate deals.
