Matty focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and emerging companies, and general corporate matters. He advises public and private companies across a broad range of industries, including technology, life sciences, financial services, and biotech.

Before joining Mintz, Matty served as General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer at a venture-backed wealth management firm. He has extensive experience leading corporate operations and overseeing compliance and regulatory matters for investment adviser and broker-dealer subsidiaries. He also advises on equity financing and the structuring private credit funds.

Earlier in his career, Matty was an associate at a California-based national law firm, counseling private and public companies on venture financings, M&A transactions, corporate governance, securities compliance, and regulatory issues. He also has experience managing cap tables and equity incentive plans, and advising strategic transactions from early-stage financing to exit.
