Mizuna focuses her practice on corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, venture capital financings, and technology transactions. Her experience includes negotiating transaction agreements, drafting governance documents, and assisting clients with SEC and other regulatory requirements. She represents companies, underwriters, and investors in a variety of industries, including technology, semiconductors, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals.
Prior to joining Mintz, Mizuna was a corporate associate in the San Francisco office of a US-based global law firm, where she worked on a broad range of corporate transactions. Earlier, as a corporate and intellectual property associate (Bengoshi) at a leading Japan-based law firm, she provided assistance on mergers and acquisitions, financings, and technology transactions. Mizuna also previously worked in the Intellectual Property Division of a Japanese research institute, in a role that involved reviewing license and collaboration agreements and helping biotech start-up companies negotiate partnership agreements.
