Ric focuses his practice on general corporate matters, entity formation, and transactions, including venture capital deals. He works with public and private companies across a wide range of industries, such as technology, financial services, and the nonprofit sector.

While earning his JD, Ric worked as a Summer Associate at Mintz, where he drafted and revised venture capital transaction term sheets and assisted with SEC filings. Additionally, as a legal intern for the National Lacrosse League, Ric wrote and revised sections of the league’s medical policy relating to return to play during the COVID-19 pandemic, drafted and reviewed league sponsorship contracts, and conducted research on collective bargaining agreements. He also conducted research on corporate and employment issues while working as a summer associate at another international law firm.

In law school, Ric served as a student attorney for the Law and Solidarity Economy Practicum and the Social Enterprise and Nonprofit Law Clinic at Georgetown Law. At the clinic, he advised nonprofits on entity formation, drafted formation documents, and conducted legal research. He also worked as a research assistant for the clinic.

Prior to law school, Ric worked as a policy and management analyst with the Richmond Department of Social Services before working in alumni relations for The College of William & Mary. Additionally, he worked in league operations for the National Basketball Association, supporting the basketball and referee operations, broadcast, and content departments.
