
Wali is a litigator whose practice focuses on white-collar defense, complex commercial litigation, and securities litigation. His work spans across several industries including financial services.
While earning his JD, Wali served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Jed S. Rakoff in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. In law school, he prosecuted criminal cases as a Rule 3:03 student prosecutor in BU Law’s Criminal Law Clinic, interned for the DOJ’s National Security Division, and was an articles editor for the Boston University Law Review. Wali was also a Summer Associate at Mintz in 2023.
Prior to law school, Wali worked as a senior Iran analyst for a financial data intelligence company, where he focused on investigating illicit financial networks and publishing reports on export controls and economic sanctions risks.
