Terry McMahon is an experienced litigator whose practice focuses on complex civil litigation, business litigation, and white-collar investigations. Terry has helped numerous companies, particularly in the financial, manufacturing, real estate, and technology sectors, develop and achieve business solutions to a variety of legal problems, including contract, fraud, and fiduciary duty issues. He has litigated at all stages of proceedings, from pre-complaint counseling through post-trial briefing.

Terry also has significant experience in the growing and fast-evolving field of regulatory compliance. He has recently returned to Mintz Levin after a one-year secondment at the New York headquarters of Goldman Sachs, where he joined Goldman’s Regulatory Audits & Inquiries team within the Compliance division to respond to comprehensive annual examinations of the firm by financial regulators. In addition, Terry has handled compliance issues at Mintz Levin on behalf of both regulators and member firms.

Terry maintains an active pro bono practice, where he focuses on helping LGBT individuals obtain asylum in the United States after suffering persecution in their home countries.

Before Mintz Levin, Terry was an associate in the New York office of Jones Day. Prior to law school, he worked on a series of political campaigns for Democratic candidates around the country.
