Lyzzette represents clients in a variety of complex civil and commercial disputes in courts, mediations, and arbitrations. She has experience in matters involving product liability, government investigations for health care entities, and commercial contract disputes. In addition, Lyzzette has defended clients in a number of professional negligence actions before administrative agencies and licensing boards.

Lyzzette is committed to professional and community involvement and has held positions as a board member on the boards of several organizations across the country, including in Arizona, California, and New York. In addition, Lyzzette has an active pro bono practice where she routinely represents indigent clients and local non-profit organizations.

Lyzzette served as a judicial clerk for the Hon. Donn G. Kessler, Arizona Court of Appeals, and, earlier in her career, as a legislative aide in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.

Representative Matters

  • Litigation counsel for a global energy company in a dispute over shareholder exit rights and control of the multi-billion dollar entity pending in the Delaware Chancery Court.
  • Trial counsel for a life-sciences company in a commercial contract dispute with an essential supplier of goods and services. Obtained a favorable partial summary judgment ruling granting client’s right to terminate the contract.
  • Defense counsel for a national health care entity in a government investigation initiated as a result of False Claims Act allegations.
  • Successfully defended hospital system against the levy of significant fines by the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety during an administrative hearing. Obtained an almost 90% reduction in amounts owed by the entity.
  • Successfully defended indigent mother during trial in Massachusetts Probate and Family Court for custody of her child against the child’s allegedly abusive father.
