Yalonda specializes in complex tort and product liability litigation.

Her practice focuses on commercial and product liability disputes and liability prevention strategies for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device manufacturers as well as representing witnesses who have been called to testify in investigations related to health care fraud, off-label promotion, and other internal investigations.

Yalonda also served on a number of Mintz Levin’s internal committees, including the firm’s Hiring Committee and its Diversity Committee. She is also director of Mintz Levin’s pro bono initiative in conjunction with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Representative Matters

  • Successfully represented a publicly traded biotechnology company in a wrongful death action brought by the estate of a patient who died following post-market use of a pharmaceutical drug
  • Successfully represented a publicly traded biotechnology company in a claim brought by a patient who alleged to have suffered an adverse event following participation in a clinical trial study
  • Currently representing a publicly traded biotechnology company as national coordinating counsel in multi-jurisdictional product liability disputes involving an FDA-approved pharmaceutical drug
  • Represented a medical device manufacturer in a claim brought by the estate of a patient who died while allegedly using the manufacturer’s medical device
  • Currently representing dozens of witnesses called to testify in federal grand jury investigations concerning health care fraud and off-label promotion issues
  • Represented a medical device manufacturer in multi-jurisdictional medical device litigation involving more than 250 individual claims
