Yilei’s practice focuses on corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to joining the firm, Yilei practiced in the New York office of a large, international law firm. She has represented both sellers and buyers in public and private transactions as well as financial advisors in M&A transactions. Yilei’s experience includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating transaction documents in M&A transactions, public securities offerings, and financing transactions; organizing auction processes; drafting fairness/inadequacy opinions and financial advisor disclosures; and supervising diligence review.

During law school, Yilei worked as an intern in the Office of the Chief Counsel of the Internal Revenue Service, where she conducted research and assisted counsel in US tax court proceedings and investigations.

Before earning her law degree, Yilei was a research assistant at Harvard Medical School, where she used molecular genetic tools to study cell death mechanisms.
