Two San Diego-Based Mintz Members Honored as Exemplary Leaders in Governance by Diligent

Mintz Members Jennifer B. Rubin and Scott M. Stanton, both based in the firm’s San Diego office, have been named to Diligent’s 2020 Modern Governance 100 list, which recognizes hardworking governance professionals globally who are driving real change across their organizations. Both attorneys were featured in a recipient spotlight published by Diligent. Significantly, this is Mr. Stanton’s second consecutive year of inclusion on the prestigious list.

Ms. Rubin practices employment law at Mintz with three decades of experience advising clients on employment law matters and litigating employment cases. Her clients range from start-ups to Fortune 50 companies and business executives in the technology, financial services, publishing, professional services, and health care industries. Ms. Rubin is a prominent thought leader on the #MeToo movement’s impact on the American workplace, gender parity in the boardroom, and other topics. She has also been a key leader with 2020 Women on Boards, an education and advocacy campaign driving the movement toward accelerating gender balance on corporate boards of directors.

Mr. Stanton has deep experience in mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, corporate governance, and general corporate matters. He represents companies, boards of directors, and board committees in technology, life sciences, and other sectors. Additionally, Mr. Stanton is on the Executive Committee of the Corporate Directors Forum, a San Diego-based nonprofit organization that is the largest regional association of corporate directors in the United States and offers regular, interactive education programs for directors, officers, and business leaders.
