Carolina’s practice focuses on drafting and prosecuting US and foreign patent applications in the mechanical, electrical, and computer science arts. She provides strategic IP counsel to clients as well as prepares and develops patentability, infringement, and validity opinions. Her experience includes helping clients obtain patents for inventions in the fields of manufacturing systems, computer hardware and software, medical devices, smart grid technologies, advanced network communication protocols, mass data storage systems as well as mechanical and electro-mechanical innovations in the automotive industry.

Prior to joining the firm, Carolina was an associate in the Boston office of another international law firm. She also previously worked as a patent agent at an intellectual property boutique in Boston, where she concentrated on the patent prosecution of a variety of technologies, including consumer products, mechanical technologies, and electrical devices.
