In 2021, Mitch Frazer helped form the National GC Network, Canada’s largest organization of General Counsels from diverse backgrounds committed to advancing DEI in the legal market.

Casa Nueva Vida faced financial distress and potential collapse, as well as the potential loss of its four emergency shelter properties in Boston and Lawrence, MA. Heading Home, the largest provider of emergency housing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, was asked to consider taking over stewardship of three active transitional housing and emergency shelters that were home to approximately 125 residents. Mintz was asked to help Heading Home acquire three occupied properties and an additional vacant property in a highly complicated transaction that included a nonprofit organization slated to dissolve, the oversight of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, and related real estate and corporate complexities.

Sanctuary for Families is the leading provider and advocate for survivors of domestic abuse, sex trafficking, and related forms of gender violence. Sanctuary for Families is the leading NYC provider and advocate for survivors of domestic abuse, sex trafficking, and related forms of gender violence. In partnership with Mintz and other pro bono attorneys, the organization provided vital support to more than 7,200 adults and children in the past year.

Mintz has partnered with nonprofit organizations on behalf of lower-income San Diego residents and is committed to advancing justice through effective, efficient, and vigorous legal advocacy.

Mintz’s tireless advocacy on behalf of an asylum-seeking family from El Salvador, which resulted in grants of asylum and SIJS, made a profound impact on an entire household who will no longer fear return to abuse or death.

Mintz attorneys have assisted older adults whose lives had been deeply affected by the lack of identity documents that didn’t match their gender, including many who were informally or marginally employed.

When the fifth circuit ultimately rules on whether patients must pay for PrEP HIV treatments, the ruling could have ramifications on a broad range of other preventative services requirements under the Affordable Care Act. The Mintz legal team continues to follow and contribute to this important case.

Working with Ukrainians taking refuge in a variety of countries due to the conflict in their native land, the Mintz team launched and incorporated a US nonprofit with a US board for their benefit. By the spring of 2023, the nonprofit has raised several million dollars.
