Geri has a multifaceted practice that spans employment litigation, counseling, and compliance, as well as intellectual property and trade secret matters. She chairs the steering committee of the Mintz Women’s Initiative.

Drawing on extensive experience as an in-house attorney and trial lawyer, Geri advises clients on a broad range of business and employment issues across diverse industries, including finance, food and beverage, consumer products, and technology. Her work encompasses litigation and counseling on matters such as trade secret and intellectual property protection, enforcement of noncompetition and nondisclosure agreements, independent contractor and employee classification, workplace investigations, and compliance matters. 

Geri rejoined Mintz after more than seven years as in-house counsel with a national fast-casual restaurant chain, where she served as vice president and deputy general counsel. In that role, she managed employment, litigation, intellectual property, contract, marketing and advertising, and data security and privacy matters, while providing guidance on a broad spectrum of workplace and employment-related compliance matters. 

Earlier in her career at Mintz, Geri was an Associate, practicing in the firm’s Litigation and Intellectual Property Practices for 14 years. She handled litigation, arbitration, and mediation of trademark, trade secret, copyright, false advertising, domain name, and patent disputes in courts throughout the country, and matters before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Her practice also included counseling clients on intellectual property matters and negotiating settlement and licensing agreements. 

Geri is deeply committed to pro bono work on behalf of the firm, including representation of the Human Rights Campaign. She has also served as an adjunct professor of trademark law at the Northeastern University School of Law.
